Tech Lead and Software Architect

Project-based consulting and product development, alongside my full-time roles and today as my main activity. As tech lead I delivered the AI marketing platform for Rappi Mexico: the ally data backend, a multichannel campaign engine, the Lo Mejor de Rappi blog (AI-assisted drafting, human review), the Rappi Turbo newsletter via Braze, a push-notification planner and a multi-agent pipeline that turns Slack requests into Jira tickets. I also delivered Magnum Compliance for Unilever, which cut audit response times, served as software architect and backend lead for Polyvik, and I run my own AI SaaS products in production: Lumy (a WhatsApp appointment assistant), FILTRA (a chatbot with RAG on pgvector), CFDIGO and Procede. I operate my own VPS fleet: Ubuntu, nginx, PM2, PostgreSQL, Docker and CI/CD with GitHub Actions, running 60+ Node.js services. In my infrastructure years (2008-2013) I ran Waldos store openings, configured servers and Cisco perimeter security for corporate VPN, coordinated 12 engineers across 5 regions and ran the NOC for Danone Bonafont.

Inherited a functional but unstable 4-repository Kiosk baseline and led its evolution into an operational standalone POS product. Standardized the architecture and moved the stack to end-to-end TypeScript, rewriting payment and scanner modules originally delivered in Python by a third party. Designed and implemented a TypeScript UIC payment-terminal Bridge because the previous vendor delivered only a binary without source code. Developed the KMS web suite for remote kiosk management (heartbeats, planogram, health metrics, rollup deployments). Optimized delivery by moving from source-code deployment on kiosks to a fully containerized model: with Docker installed, a single installer orchestrates containers, hardens configuration, and brings a kiosk from clean OS to a functional state in under 15 minutes.

Delivered software and IT operations solutions for key customers: an end-to-end app for in-home veterinarians/pet stylists (booking, clinical history, payments), an HR workflow platform for a corporate group, and WordPress-to-React migrations with better UX and maintainability. Implemented patch strategy for 8,000+ endpoints at Grupo La Comer and supported audit/monitoring in critical Banxico environments (Exchange, AD, File Server). Scaled Reingtec's Ivanti line by replacing outsourced consultants with in-house presales and delivery capability, improving margin and execution control.

I built and led a full Managed Service Desk/NOC team, developed new engineering capacity to sustain growth, and directly implemented solutions in strategic accounts (TeleVia, Alsea, Si Vale). I also defined IT architectures, validation/presales labs, and integration APIs for Ivanti platforms, combining project leadership with hands-on technical execution.

Reduced cost and lead time through pragmatic engineering decisions, including deploying a payroll-mail server on reused infrastructure (avoiding external subscription costs constrained by Swiss corporate-domain policies). Reorganized server-room cabling and integrated a dedicated fiber link to improve stability and operational capacity.

Technical scope: Fullstack + Database + Infrastructure. My own SaaS in production: an AI assistant on WhatsApp that serves customers of clinics, practices and appointment-based businesses 24/7 and books, reschedules and cancels appointments without staff involvement, with reminders, deposits to cut no-shows, and handoff to a human when needed. Node.js/Express backend on PostgreSQL with a tool-calling agent on Claude; availability is computed by the backend and a PostgreSQL EXCLUDE constraint prevents double-booking even under concurrency. Integrates the WhatsApp Cloud API, Google Calendar, deposits via Stripe or MercadoPago paid directly to each business, Stripe Billing subscriptions, multi-location support, affiliates and live conversations (SSE); SEO-optimized Astro marketing site with per-industry landings, business console and admin panel in React 19 + TypeScript, 2FA, AES-256-GCM encrypted secrets and GitHub Actions CI/CD.

Technical scope: Backend + Database + AWS. Compliance and regulatory-document management product for Unilever, including automated compliance-aligned inspections, training workflows, and an LLM-powered virtual assistant; reduced audit response time and improved readiness for government, civil-protection, and internal compliance requirements.
Polyvik
Technical scope: Software architecture + Backend + Infrastructure. Marketing platform for businesses that plans, generates, approves and publishes content to LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Google Business and blogs, with human approval before anything goes live. I designed the full architecture: infrastructure, networking, a multi-tenant data model with per-client isolation on every query, PostgreSQL as the job queue (FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED), per-network adapters and VPS deployment; I built the backend, marketing site and multi-site blogs.
FILTRA
Technical scope: Backend + Database. AI chatbot for WhatsApp and Messenger that answers a business's customers within seconds, at any hour: it replies only from the business's own information, screens prospects, captures their details, books appointments, and hands over qualified leads; when it does not know something, it logs the question and passes the chat to a person. Backend in Express + TypeScript + Drizzle on PostgreSQL with pgvector: tool-using conversational agent on Claude, a debounced worker that replies once per burst of messages, signed and idempotent Meta webhooks, encrypted per-customer credentials, multi-tenant architecture, and a real-time inbox (LISTEN/NOTIFY + SSE) for human takeover.
Al Chile Tech
Technical scope: Fullstack + Database + AI Agents. Tech, gaming, and AI blog run by an autonomous content agent, proof of a capability any brand can hire: consistent SEO content without an editorial team. An editor-in-chief agent researches the web and picks non-repeating topics, and a writer agent drafts the article (drawing on YouTube transcripts when relevant), proofreads it, assigns a cover image and an embedded video, and publishes it on its own. Node.js agents with node-cron on Claude, an editorial queue and API in Express + PostgreSQL (comments, likes, subscribers, and push notifications), and an Astro static site rebuilt and deployed through GitHub Actions on every publish.
CFDIGO.MX
Technical scope: Fullstack + Database. CFDI 4.0 e-invoicing SaaS for businesses in Mexico that brings invoice issuing and stamping, payment complements, cancellations, received invoices, and accounts receivable and payable into one place. Supports multiple issuers (RFC) with their CSD certificates, SAT catalogs, customer onboarding from their tax ID certificate (CIF), and invoice-credit packages sold through Stripe. Express + PostgreSQL backend with a custom fiscal engine that validates and computes taxes (VAT, ISR, IEPS, withholdings) before stamping through Facturama, plus a React + TypeScript frontend.
Procede
Technical scope: Fullstack + Database. SaaS for paperwork agencies that handle government procedures with IMSS, Infonavit, Afore, and Fovissste: applicants upload documents, fix rejections, sign, and track their case from their phone, while the agency reviews, schedules appointments, and closes cases without losing a single file. White-label multi-tenant platform with three consoles (applicant portal, agency panel, and internal console), a state machine as the single source of truth, configurable requirements per procedure type, handwritten signatures with evidence, a SHA-256 fingerprint per document, and an append-only audit log. Stack: Express + PostgreSQL, S3 storage, PDF generation, and React 19 + TanStack Query.

Technical scope: Fullstack + Database. End-to-end logistics system for a postal-point business model: customer shipment creation, prepaid/COD guides, branch operations, pickup flows, and a delivery PWA for couriers.

Technical scope: Fullstack + Database + Infrastructure (solo project). Analytics platform that turns Age of Empires II public data into actionable insight for players: profiles and progress, ladders, live matches, civilization meta, head-to-head, build-order guides, replay analysis, and smurf-account detection (smurfs.wololo.top). Complete data pipeline: a collector agent on the World's Edge API with a Docker proxy and batched ingestion with dead-letter handling into PostgreSQL, an Express REST API with API keys, rate limiting, and daily aggregates, a Python worker that rescues and parses replays before they expire (with a custom format reader), and React + TypeScript frontends with CI/CD on GitHub Actions. It is the architecture any data product needs: collect from external sources, normalize, aggregate, and serve fast.

Technical scope: Backend + Database + AWS + Draft UI (endpoint-testing stages). Esports community platform with real-time communication (voice/text), competitive tournament management, integrations with competitive-data APIs, and posts/polls/events features.

Technical scope: Fullstack + Database. Workspace for project teams (in beta) that shows team capacity as a navigable 3D cube: each month is a cube, each person-month a slot assigned to a client, and each task is sized in hours, so it is clear at a glance who is overloaded and what still fits. Includes comparable scenarios, a per-client ticket backlog, tables with saved views and relations, invitations and per-project guest access, notifications, and API keys. Stack: Express + PostgreSQL API with custom SQL migrations, Better Auth (password and magic link) and team isolation on every route, and a React 19 + Three.js SPA.
Hivek Audio
Technical scope: Mobile app + Native module. Android audio player with its own parametric equalizer, built for people using budget earphones whose brands ship no software: it imports AutoEq profiles and builds a personal profile through an A/B comparison test without touching a single band. Audio engine in a Kotlin native module (its own audio chain, so the equalizer works on any device), background playback with system controls, graphic and parametric EQ with a live curve, seven languages, and in-app purchases via RevenueCat, on React Native (Expo) and TypeScript.
Alux (Discord Bot)
Technical scope: Backend + Database + AWS + Draft UI (endpoint-testing stages). Discord bot for Age of Empires II esports communities, with MEE6/Sapphire-style capabilities, music playback, birthday reminders, and community moderation tooling.
SOFIES
Technical scope: Fullstack + Database. Online store and commercial site for an air-conditioning and HVAC company: a catalog synced daily with distributor Syscom's API (prices, stock, images, and spec sheets) without overwriting the business's own edits, a margin-based pricing engine, an equipment calculator, PDF quotes sent by email, and orders. Express + PostgreSQL API with scheduled sync, an Astro + React site, and a React admin panel with CI/CD on GitHub Actions.
